E3M Toolkit Launch Webinar: From Procurement to Partnership: improving services through effective collaboration - 11.05.2021

This webinar will be of particular interest to:

• Social enterprises, charities and other social sectors working with local public bodies

With practical case studies, expert commentary and discussion, the webinar will mark the launch of E3M’s new, practical toolkit for commissioners, to help guide them on a journey from procurement to partnership.

There is growing interest in new models of collaboration between public authorities and social enterprises in improving services, delivering real social value and for community wealth building. The response to Covid-19 has shown the importance of social enterprises and the wider social sector in communities across the country, and in some areas has led to innovative new models of partnership.

However, all too often innovation and meeting the needs of people and communities is held back by a rigid application of procurement rules, where process takes over from purpose. The big question is, How to do things differently? How is it possible to put in place effective public benefit partnerships? And what does this mean in terms of the current and future rules that govern public authorities?
