Stone King was delighted to host a LeGal BesT event on Tuesday 20 September 2022 with Phyll Opoku-Gyimah, popularly known as Lady Phyll. Lady Phyll spoke about her own experiences as a longstanding LGBT+ activist and campaigner, and talked about what effective allyship looks like in practice. This video shows the Q&A section of the event.

Lady Phyll is the founder of UK Black Pride, and executive director of Kaleidoscope Trust, a charity focused on fighting for the human rights of LGBT+ people across the Commonwealth. Kaleidoscope Trust aims to nurture a world where LGBT+ people are safe, equal and free to be themselves. UK Black Pride was co-founded by Lady Phyll in 2005 and she remains its CEO.

LeGal BesT is an LGBT+ network for mid-size law firms who believe that they can achieve more by working together. The respective members support LeGal BesT in order to cultivate a network which supports their own LGBT+ staff, but simultaneously also provides support and education to the wider community. Stone King has been a member of LeGal BesT since 2015 and was thrilled to be able to provide the venue for this important event.
