Stone King is proud to announce its support for the NCVO Governance Forum and network for governance professionals. As England’s membership community for charities and voluntary organisations, NCVO has been going for over 100 years and has over 17,000 members, from national to local charities and all those in between. NCVO’s governance forum exists to bring governance professionals together for enlightening exchanges regarding the challenges faced by the charity sector, such as finding capacity to meet the ambition that so many charities have to give ESG and DEI the focus that these areas deserve.
“I presented at the NCVO Governance Forum in January on the subject of ‘Governance Challenges and Opportunities: the S in ESG’,” said Reema Mathur, a Partner in Stone King’s Charity Team. “It was an honour to speak alongside Holly Riley, Head of Strategic Policy at the Charity Commission, and Joe White, Public Affairs and Campaigns Officer at NCVO. There were such interesting people at the Forum, and the quality of the discussions had in the breakout rooms was extremely high.”
Tom Murdoch, also a Partner in the Stone King Charity Team, added “Contributing to the Governance Forum with NCVO’s Mo Wiltshire and my colleague Sam Dowgill was great, there was such a wide range of interesting charities and questions. We’re delighted to be supporting this NCVO forum, helping to spread the knowledge and use of good governance practices across the charity sector. We’re also going to be contributing useful, thought-provoking articles to be shared among NCVO’s members. We can’t wait to get started!”
