Meg Moss featured in South West Business Insider magazine

Family & Mediation Team Partner Meg Moss was interviewed by South West Business Insider magazine for an article looking at the impact of divorce and separation on business assets.

“Often young entrepreneurs are so busy building and growing their companies, they don’t realise their spouses could be entitled to as much as half of those businesses should they subsequently divorce.

“This, understandably, could have a significant impact on companies continuing to operate with much of their capital affected.”

Meg says pre-nuptial agreements are increasingly being used – but warns people that legal advice is crucial.

She added: “For both business and private clients we can see that, while pre-nups are valuable planning tools which can save a lot of uncertainty, argument and cost further down the line, they must be done properly.”
