Julie was interviewed by the education publication for an article on EU pupils’ and employees’ immigration status.

With EU nationals having until June 30 to apply for settled status, there are fears those who fail to do so could risk losing their children’s right to schooling says Schools Week.

The publication says there are fears of a ‘hostile environment’ which could damage schools’ relationships with parents.

While Stone King advises schools to notify their communities about settled status, Julie, Head of Immigration at the national law firm, says staff cannot be ordered to apply for status or even show they have applied.
