Stone King is delighted to have joined the Bath and North East Somerset (BANES) Dementia Action Alliance which launched with an event at the Guildhall in Bath today (Thursday, February 7).

The BaNES Dementia Action Alliance was initiated by Dementia Friends Champion, Sarah Williams-Martin, who identified a need for supporting people living with dementia in their community.

70 per cent of people with dementia live at home, and the DAA wants to create a dementia-friendly community where people can travel on public transport, enjoy social activities and manage day-to-day tasks.

Other members of the alliance include Age UK, the Carers’ Centre, Designability and Dorothy House Hospice Care.

Stone King’s Elderly Client Services Team has particular interest in dealing with issues affecting older clients including the preparation of lasting powers of attorney, applications to the Court of Protection, and funding long term care.
