Kara Williams
Senior Associate

Kara qualified as a Commercial Property Solicitor in 2013 after training in London. She joined Stone King in 2016.

Kara specialises in advising education and commercial clients. She has advised on a number of acquisitions, disposals, a variety of leases and a broad range of landlord and tenant issues and undertaken title due diligence.

Kara has acted on a number of academy conversions for state-funded schools and property management matters for education clients as well as projects for further education establishments and on behalf of various councils. 

Public Sector 

Kara acts on behalf of state-funded schools for conversions and general property management matters.

She has acted on behalf of the NHS in a range of property matters.

Kara has most recently acted for further education establishments in respect of setting up new Institutes for Technologies.

Private Sector

Kara has acted on behalf of retail clients and large funds in all their property portfolio management work including the acquisition of a retail park worth £44 million, the sale of a high-rise office block with multiple tenants, and the sale of two hotels.

She has acted for commercial clients to secure new leases of business premises as well as sales and acquisitions.

Kara has undertaken due diligence on complex titles and prepared certificates of title.

Kara enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and training/showing dogs.

Dealing with a large property transfer for a multi-academy trust with a complex land holding structure and various property contracts which needed to be entered into for the transfer to be effected with tight timeframes.

Acting for a new institute for technology in completing their new lease of the property and associated documents.

Assisted with a housing association, securing a £175 million bond facility by undertaking a charging exercise of 177 Titles.

Dealing with complex overage provisions within Transfers.

Dealing with registering land before a sale after another firm had failed to do so due to a lack of deeds.
