Madeline Morris

Madeline joined Stone King in October 2021 as a Paralegal in the Trusts and Estates team and began her Training Contract in September 2024.

During her Training Contract, Madeline has gained experience across a range of practice areas including Commercial Property, Trusts and Estates, Family, and Dispute Resolution.

Madeline’s experience in Trusts and Estates gave her a strong foundation in client care. Madeline worked with individuals on sensitive matters such as helping clients prepare for their future by drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, or empathetically guiding clients through the administrative process of dealing with the estate of a loved one. Madeline supports clients of the Family team when queries arise in relation to inheritance.

The time Madeline spent in Dispute Resolution has also shaped the way she approaches her work in the Family team. Madeline worked with clients on contested matters, which strengthened her ability to analyse information carefully to understand the parties’ main issues, provide clear and practical advice, adhere to the Civil Procedure Rules, and ensure that strict Court deadlines are met. Madeline’s exposure to Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (‘TOLATA’) claims has also given her valuable insight into property disputes involving individuals who are not married and do not have the same protection under matrimonial law.  

Madeline has already completed six months of training with the Family team, and she will be finishing the last 3 months of her Training Contract with the Family team ahead of qualification in September 2026.

Madeline continues to work with clients who are navigating delicate issues regarding finances or child arrangements which arise on divorce or separation. 

Madeline obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University in the United States.

She later completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the University of the West of England.
 

In her spare time, Madeline enjoys reading, walking in the countryside with her husband and dog, and hosting Thanksgiving for friends each November.
