Stone King’s SEN Service is aimed at supporting schools with the navigation of issues relating to the EHC (Education Health and Care) process for children with special educational needs. It is aimed at maintained schools, academies, special schools and section 41 independent schools.

Designed to support SENCOs and those with senior leadership responsibility for SEN in schools, this product will help them tackle common areas of challenge, including those relating to Local Authorities.

The SEN Service will provide schools with know-how, template documentation focusing on key points in the EHC process (e.g. needs assessments, annual reviews, and school consultation), updates, bulletins and a twice-yearly ‘surgery’ for key staff members.

We are excited to launch this SEN Service for schools and hope it will be useful and informative, as well as alleviate the workload of those working in this area within schools, ultimately achieving better outcomes for families and children with special educational needs.

The Schools' SEN Support Service includes a variety of guidance documents and template letters, including:

  • Stone King Guide: Key issues in SEN Law
  • Checklist: EHCP Consultation response
  • Letter A – EHCP needs assessment timeframe etc. non-compliance
  • Letter B – EHCP needs assessment outcome timeframe non-compliance
