The UK left the EU on 31 January 2020, and the deadline for applications under the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) for most people was 30 June 2021. More than three years on, some EU nationals in the UK are still facing challenges with their immigration status.

Recently, we have seen patterns of issues emerging relating to the EUSS, including employees who have not protected their status, vulnerable individuals being unaware of the requirement to protect their status, evidencing reasonable grounds for those making late applications, refusals, delays and more. Other common issues we have seen is around how individuals evidence their status in the UK, and obtaining permanent residence, also known as settlement.

This session provides guidance for EU nationals struggling to regulate their status in the UK. It will be useful, for those who are unsure how to access their status online, and for those wishing to settle in the UK permanently.
