Do You Have A Local Government Pensions Scheme (LGPS) Discretions Policy?

The regulations governing the LGPS require academies to issue a written policy statement on how they will exercise certain discretions provided by the LGPS, which needs to be kept under review, and revised as necessary. However, as the rules governing the LGPS have recently changed amending these discretions, scheme employers (such as academies) are now required to submit a new updated policy by 1 July 2014 to the administering authority of the LGPS fund.

In order to assist academies in meeting their obligations under the regulations we have developed a new template policy and are delighted to be able to offer this template policy with guidance on how to implement the new policy to members for a fixed fee of £200 excluding VAT, or for free for members who have a Stone King Retainer service.
