Stone King’s Immigration Team recently supported a charity client with a successful Skilled Worker Visa application.

The organisation is a longstanding client and wanted to sponsor an overseas national for a managerial role for the UK charity.

The candidate had been undertaking a similar role for the overseas organisation for a number of years and was therefore well suited for the position in the UK.

They hold relevant experience and qualifications required for the role.

Under UK law, an individual applying for a Skilled Worker Visa must meet the requirements set out in the Immigration Rules. These include being sponsored by a registered sponsor licence holder as well as meeting the validity, eligibility and suitability requirements of the route. Further sponsorship requirements relate to salary, genuine vacancy, English language ability, skill level, and finances.

Stone King’s specialist Immigration Team supported with the full application process from start to finish.

“This support included advising on the applicable law, undertaking the relevant actions on the Sponsor Management System (SMS) to assign a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for the individual, preparing representations to the Home Office, completing the visa application form in full, and arranging the biometric appointment for the individual once the application had been submitted,” said Head of Immigration and Head of Faith Sector Julie Moktadir.

“By liaising closely with the client, the team was able to detail the individual’s experience in the overseas organisation, how they were suitable for the role and how the specific requirements for the visa route were met.

“I am delighted to have helped this charity fill this role which will help it achieve its objects.”

Under the priority service, the application was granted within a few days of the biometric appointment, and the individual was able to promptly relocate to the UK.
