Stone King Partner appointed as a Deputy District Judge

Stone King Partner Daniela Nickols has been appointed as a Deputy District Judge sitting on the Western Circuit.

Alongside this part-time appointment, Daniela will continue her work as a solicitor specialising in the representation of children both directly and through their Children’s Guardians.

This includes in care proceedings where local authorities have made applications to court, in contact disputes and in proceedings determining where children should live.

Daniela’s academic background includes experience teaching on the undergraduate Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and the Social Work MSc at the University of Bristol.

She has been a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel since 2011 and sits on Resolution’s Children’s Committee.

Discussing the appointment Daniela commented “I am delighted to have been appointed a Deputy District Judge.  I look forward to taking on this role while continuing in areas of private practice that have been of central importance to me throughout my career.”
